CONTENIDOS UNIDAD 8. THE CITY

Estimados padres/madres:

                                       

Vuestro hijo/a ha empezado Unidad 8 de su libro de Conocimiento del Medio (Science 2). La unidad trata sobre la ciudad (The city) y en ella va a:

·         identificar los principales elementos constitutivos de las ciudades (school, house, falt, library, baker's, chemist's supermarket, post office, park, church, swimming pool, bank, museum, sports centre, hospital, train station, bus station, restaurant, airport, shop) y la finalidad de cada uno

·         comprender indicaciones para ir a un sitio (go straight, go past, turn right/left, it's on...)

·         distinguir entre edificios públicos y privados  (public/private buildings)

·         hacer observaciones sobre los medios de transporte (car, bus/buses, plane, helicopter, boat, bike, lorry/lorries, van tanker, train, hot air balloon) que se usan en su localidad  y clasificarlos de distintas formas (goods, people)

·         comprender la importancia de seguir unas reglas básicas de seguridad vial (zebra crossing, traffic lights post box, road, pavement, kerb, wear a seatbelt/helmet, sit down, hold on, stop, look, listen, think)

·         reconocer la importancia de las diferentes profesiones ( teacher, cook, caretaker, police officer, firefighter, postal worker, baker, farmer, fisherman, doctor, electrician, builder, plumber, factory worker, carpenter) en ciudades y pueblos
